Humans are at the center of nearly all massage business problems. By far, humans impact the OPEX of a massage business and reduce the profit margin more than any other expense. Humans come late to work, get sick and file claims of workmen’s compensation, sexual harassment, and other labor law issues. Hotels, cruise ships, fitness gyms, schools and other business and commercial enterprises are reluctant to offer massage services because of human factors and worries over illegal sexual activities and the impact these may have on their brand.
